Planning Your Round Top Trip from Home — How to Use the Website

Round Top FinderMonday, March 16, 20265 views

The best Round Top trips start weeks before you get in the car. The shoppers who walk away with the best finds aren't the ones who show up and wing it — they're the ones who did their homework.

Here's how to use roundtopfinder.com to plan like a pro from your couch.

Week 1: Research (4-6 Weeks Before the Show)

Check Show Dates

Start at Show Dates to see when each of the 48 venues opens and closes. Not all venues are open for the entire show run. Some open a week early, some (like Marburger Farm) open 5-7 days in. Plan your travel dates around which venues you most want to see.

Browse Venues

Go to Venues and click through the ones that interest you. Each venue page shows:

  • Opening dates and hours
  • Admission (most are free)
  • Amenities — does it have restrooms? Food on-site? AC?
  • "What You'll Find" — categories of vendors at that venue
  • Full vendor directory

Narrow your list. You cannot see all 48 venues in a weekend. Pick your top 6-8 based on what you're shopping for.

Scout Vendors

Go to Vendors and filter by what you're looking for:

  • Category filter — Furniture, Fashion, Jewelry, Art, Home Decor
  • Style filter — French Country, Farmhouse, Mid-Century Modern, Bohemian
  • Venue filter — See only vendors at a specific venue

Click into vendor profiles to see their photos, read descriptions, and check their Instagram for current inventory previews. Heart the ones you want to visit — they'll appear in your Favorites list.

Book Lodging

Go to Lodging to browse B&Bs, vacation rentals, hotels, and glamping options. Set up cancellation alerts to get notified if lodging opens up.

Book 3-6 months in advance. Show-week lodging sells out fast.

Week 2: Plan Your Route (2-3 Weeks Before)

Use the Map

Open the Interactive Map and toggle on the venues you want to visit. Notice how they're spread along the 11-mile corridor. Group nearby venues together to minimize driving.

Pro tip: Work from one end to the other — either start in Warrenton and head north, or start in Round Top and head south. Don't zigzag.

Build Your Itinerary

Open the Trip Planner and build a day-by-day schedule:

  • Day 1: The Arbors + Blue Hills + Bader Ranch (Round Top cluster)
  • Day 2: Marburger Farm + The Compound + Excess fields (Warrenton cluster)
  • Day 3: Circle back to favorites + last-minute deals

Check the Calendar

The Calendar shows exactly which venues are open on each date. Use this to make sure your must-see venues are actually open when you're there.

Week 3: Prepare (1 Week Before)

Check Dining

Browse the Dining Guide and make restaurant reservations:

  • Royers Cafe — book ASAP
  • Lulu's — book ASAP
  • Y Comida at Bader Ranch — book ASAP
  • Food trucks don't need reservations (and they're half the fun)

Check Events

Look at the Calendar Events tab for special happenings during your dates:

  • Designer preview nights
  • Trunk shows
  • Food and drink events
  • Live music
  • Late-night shopping

  • Pack: comfortable shoes, cash, measurements, sunscreen, water, wagon

You're ready. Time to go find some treasures.
