Show Week
Events & Entertainment
Round Top show week isn't just shopping — it's a full social calendar. Designer showcases, legendary costume parties, gallery openings, live music, and trunk shows all run alongside the antique fair.
Signature Show Events
Designer Day at Big Red Barn
Spring & Fall shows — opening week
The flagship event of the Round Top social calendar. Interior designers, art directors, and tastemakers gather for exclusive early-access shopping at Big Red Barn before the general public arrives. The event features featured vendors, book signings by design authors, and networking. If you work in interior design, this is the opening-day event worth attending.
Tip: Tickets typically sell out — watch Big Red Barn's Instagram for announcements.
Junk-O-Rama Prom
Spring show — mid-week
Round Top's most legendary non-shopping event. Attendees dress in creative vintage and thrift-store costumes, and the party runs late into the night. The dress code is theatrical — past looks have included elaborate Victorian ensembles, 1970s disco, cowboy couture, and everything in between. It's part fashion show, part dance party, fully Round Top.
Tip: Costumes sourced from vendors at the show are common — budget an afternoon to assemble your look.
Venue Gallery Openings
Throughout show week
Several venues use show week to open new artist exhibitions and gallery installations. The Arbors consistently features curated contemporary art alongside its antiques dealers. Henkel Square hosts artist talks and openings during the show period. Check individual venue pages for current programming.
Tip: Gallery events are often in the evening — they're a great way to extend a show day.
Trunk Shows & Pop-Ups
Throughout show week
Individual vendors and designers host trunk shows — one-day or two-day pop-up events showcasing their full collections. Fashion vendors, jewelry designers, and home goods makers all participate. These are announced through vendor social media and the Round Top Finder business updates feed.
Tip: Follow your favorite vendors on Instagram and check their Round Top Finder profiles for announcements.
Beyond the Booths
Show week stretches into evenings and side trips. These are the consistent draws outside the antique venues.
Festival Hill Events
The Round Top Festival Institute (Festival Hill) hosts classical music concerts, lectures, and performances year-round, with special programming during antique show week. The campus is one of the most beautiful in Texas.
