Round Top Fall Show 2026: Dates, Schedule & Venue-by-Venue Opening Guide
The Round Top Fall Antique Show 2026 runs October 17–31, 2026. Two full weeks, 48 venues, 1,500+ vendors, 11 miles of Highway 237 through Round Top, Warrenton, and Carmine.
But the official dates only tell part of the story. Some venues open before October 17. Marburger Farm and Big Red Barn — the two most famous — don't open until the final stretch. A handful of year-round shops ignore the show calendar entirely. If you plan your trip around "October 17–31" without knowing which venues operate when, you might arrive on day three expecting the full show and find that half the action hasn't started yet.
This guide maps the complete fall 2026 schedule so you know exactly what's open when — and can plan accordingly.

The fall show runs longer than most people expect — nearly the full last two weeks of October. That length is a feature, not a quirk. It gives you genuine flexibility to pick the right days for your goals.
Why the Schedule Is More Complicated Than the Dates Suggest
Round Top is not one show. It is 48 independent venues operating under a shared general calendar. Each venue sets its own opening and closing dates within that window. Some open early to maximize sales. Some open late to maximize buzz. The result is a staggered schedule that rewards people who know it — and frustrates those who don't.
Three tiers of venues:
Tier 1 — Early Openers: Fields and informal markets that begin selling before October 17, usually in the Warrenton area.
Tier 2 — Main Show Openers: The majority of named venues that open on or around October 17 and run through October 31.
Tier 3 — Late Openers: Marburger Farm and Big Red Barn, which hold their openings until the second week to generate maximum demand.
The Pre-Show Window: October 12–16
Certain field venues — primarily in Warrenton, 5 miles west of Round Top — start setting up and selling several days before the official show date. There are no published schedules for this. It's informal, dealer-driven, and reliable.
What to expect:
- Roadside stands and field markets along Highway 237 in Warrenton
- Excess Fields complex (Bar W Ranch, Northgate)
- Some independent Burton-area vendors
- The Horseshoe (often opens a few days early)
Why shop early: Inventory is at maximum depth. You're competing with a handful of other early-bird shoppers instead of the full show crowd. Dealers are more willing to negotiate because they haven't been energized by a week of sales.
The catch: The pre-show period is genuinely informal. Venues open when they're ready. Call ahead or check venue Instagram accounts the week before for real-time updates.
Main Show Openers: October 17
The majority of Round Top's named venues open on or around October 17. These include the backbone of the show — the curated venues, the large tent complexes, and the established fields.
Round Top & Carmine Area
Blue Hills (Carmine, mile marker ~0 from the east) One of the first venues you hit if driving from Houston or Austin. 75+ vendors, free admission, strong furniture and textiles selection. Typically opens October 16–17.
Market Hill Architecturally focused, curated. Heavy on salvage, antique lighting, doors, hardware, and one-of-a-kind furniture. Usually opens October 17.
The Compound at Round Top French antiques, La Petite Dame, European imports. Intimate scale, high curation. Opens around October 17.
The Arbors at Round Top 160+ vendors across rugs, art, fashion, jewelry, and home decor. Strong girls-trip venue with mix of price points. Opens October 17.
Bader Ranch Veranda Magazine's longtime favorite. High-end American and European antiques. A must-visit for serious collectors. Opens October 17–18.
Zapp Hall Large format venue in Warrenton, home furnishings and eclectic mix. Good for sofas, dining sets, lighting. Opens October 17.
Warrenton Area
- Rocky Hill Farm — mixed antiques and vintage
- Bybee Square — covered venue, Warrenton center
- Prairie Rose — folk art and American primitives
- Excess 1 & 2 / XS2 — the "treasure hunter" venues for diggers
- Spare Time Market — casual, budget-friendly
See our Warrenton guide for a full breakdown of the western corridor.
Late Openers: October 22–24
These two venues define Round Top's reputation. They hold their openings late because they can — the demand is there regardless. Their late entry creates a second surge of energy in the final week of the show.
Marburger Farm
Expected opening: October 22–23, 2026 (Early Preview typically one day prior) Admission: General $15 | Early Preview $40 | VIP $175 (sells out) Size: 350+ dealers across multiple connected tent pavilions What's here: The single largest venue at Round Top. European imports, primitive American pieces, jewelry, art, textiles, and a massive furniture selection. Opening morning here is controlled chaos — serious collectors line up before dawn.
Tickets available online in advance. For opening-day strategy, read our Marburger Farm fall 2026 guide.
Big Red Barn (The Original Round Top Antiques Fair)
Expected opening: October 23–24, 2026 Admission: ~$10–15 (ticket good for entire run) What's here: The show that started it all in 1968. Established American and European antique dealers, high quality control, no resellers or reproduction pieces. A more intimate feel than Marburger despite its size.
Year-Round Venues (Open Before & After the Show)
Several Round Top businesses operate year-round and don't follow the show calendar. These are especially useful if you arrive a day early or stay a day late:
- Junk Gypsy — the Round Top landmark that put the town on the map
- Round Top Mercantile — mixed vintage and antique in downtown
- Henkel Square shops — historic district, curated selection
- Several downtown Round Top boutiques
Which Days Should You Go?
First Weekend (Oct 17–19): Maximum Inventory, No Marburger or Big Red Barn
Best for dealers and serious collectors who prioritize first pick. Crowds are present but manageable. The field venues and most curated venues are fully stocked.
Midweek (Oct 20–22): Sweet Spot for Relaxed Shopping
Monday through Wednesday see the lightest weekday traffic. Vendors have more time to talk. Parking is easier. Marburger's Early Preview day often falls here — check the official Marburger schedule when it's released.
Final Week (Oct 23–31): Full Show, Maximum Energy
Both Marburger and Big Red Barn are open. All 48 venues running simultaneously. October 23 (expected Marburger opening) is the single highest-energy day of the show. For first-timers who want the complete experience, this is the week to target.
End-of-show deals: Vendors who don't want to haul inventory home often discount significantly on October 28–31. If price matters more than selection, the final days reward patience.
How Long to Stay
| Trip | What You'll Cover |
|---|---|
| 1 day | One to three venues. Useful for a specific venue target or local day trip. |
| 2 days | A solid corridor sweep of the main-show venues |
| 3–4 days | The complete experience: fields, curated venues, Marburger, Big Red Barn |
| 5+ days | Two full passes — one early for field inventory, one late for late openers |
Most visitors who make a real trip of it do 3–4 days. If you're flying in or driving more than 3 hours, four days is the right call.
Lodging: Book Before August
Round Top has fewer than 500 hotel and B&B rooms within 20 minutes. The fall show brings far more than 500 visitors per day. Simple math.
Properties in Round Top itself and Warrenton fill first — often by late August. Brenham (15–20 minutes away) has the most hotel inventory and stays available longer. La Grange (25 minutes east) and Columbus (45 minutes) are fallback options.
