What Is the Round Top Antique Show?
Three times a year, the tiny town of Round Top, Texas (population: 90) transforms into the antique capital of the world. Over 1,500 vendors set up across 48+ independently owned venues spanning 11 miles of Highway 237 between Round Top and Warrenton.
It's not one show — it's dozens of shows happening simultaneously. Each venue is independently owned and sets its own dates, hours, and admission. Some are massive open-air fields. Others are climate-controlled barns with curated European antiques. The range is enormous — from $5 vintage finds to $50,000 period furniture.

What to Expect on the Ground
Parking
Free at most venues. A few charge $5-$10. Arrive early (before 9 AM) on weekends for the best spots. Our interactive map shows parking at each venue.
Walking
You'll walk a LOT. Wear comfortable shoes — many venues are on gravel, grass, or dirt. Bring a hat and sunscreen. Average: 10,000-15,000 steps per day.
Crowds
Opening weekend is packed. Mid-week is much calmer. Final weekend is sparse. If you hate crowds, go Tuesday-Thursday.
Cash vs. Card
Most vendors take cards, but bring at least $200 cash for smaller dealers. ATMs exist but lines can be long during peak times.
Weather
Spring shows can be hot or cool (50-85°F). Fall shows are usually pleasant (60-80°F). Rain happens — some venues are covered, many are not. Check the forecast and dress in layers.

What to Bring
How to Shop Smart
Have a plan, but leave room for surprises
Know your top 5 venues and what categories you're shopping for. But leave half your day unplanned — the best finds happen when you wander.
Negotiate — but be respectful
Asking 'Is this your best price?' is perfectly normal. Most vendors expect it. 10-20% off is common. Don't lowball — these are real dealers with real costs.
Buy it when you see it
If you love something, buy it. You will not find it again. The show is too big to circle back, and good pieces sell fast.
Use RTF's AI search
Upload a photo of your room or an item you love — our AI matches you with vendors who have similar pieces. It's like having a personal shopper.
Ask about shipping before you buy
For large items, ask the vendor about shipping options and cost BEFORE you commit. Many vendors ship nationally. There are also dedicated shippers on-site.
Take photos of everything
Photograph items you're considering with the price tag visible. It helps you compare later and remember where things were.
Where to Eat
Don't skip the food. Round Top's dining scene is nationally recognized and part of the experience.
Can't Miss
Royers Round Top Cafe — famous pies, comfort food. Reservations recommended. Lulu's — Italian in a historic stone building.
Quick Bites
Round Top Coffee Shop — breakfast and coffee. Many venues have food trucks and snack vendors on-site during show week.
