Day Trip Guide

Austin to Round Top

90 minutes east through the rolling Texas countryside. Round Top is Austin's best-kept weekend secret — antiques, farm-to-table food, wineries, and small-town charm.

When Are You Going?

Leave Austin by 8am. You'll enter the corridor from the south (Warrenton end). Start at the big Warrenton fields, work north to Blue Hills and The Arbors. Lunch in Round Top proper, one more venue, and drive home by dinner. Best days: Tuesday–Thursday for less traffic and easier parking.

Pro tip: Download the Round Top Finder app before you go — GPS works better than Google Maps out here.
